The Boogie Babies program is a fun, dance-based workout that’s gentle on the body while providing opportunities to bond with your baby through music and movement. We currently offer three parent and child programs, depending on your baby's age and your fitness objectives. We also have dance-based fitness classes for preschools and daycares, promoting physical development and a love of healthy practices.
While the mom and baby classes are especially supportive for postpartum moms, we warmly welcome those who became moms by any means, and dads, too! (Some classes may be designated as women-only. See class offerings in the registration section).
No formal dance experience is required—these classes are for everyone! Whether you’ve never danced before or you used to hit the dance floor regularly, the routines are simple and easy to follow, ensuring that people of all dance and fitness levels feel comfortable and engaged.
Not only will you be working towards your own fitness goals, but you’ll also have opportunities to build connections and community with other parents who have babies of a similar age. It’s a great way to meet new friends, share experiences, and support one another during this exciting (and often challenging) chapter of parenthood.
Babies also benefit from these classes! The music and rhythms stimulate their brains, promote dopamine production, and encourage their cognitive development, all while creating a joyful and nurturing environment. It’s a win-win for both parent and baby; while you work on your fitness and mental well-being, your little one enjoys the positive effects of music, movement, and socialization.

This 50-minute class is designed for parents with babies aged 6 weeks and up, as long as you can wear them in a carrier for an hour. Each session includes a warm-up, dance instruction with repetition, and a cool-down. You will learn unique and fun routines, set to upbeat, popular music, using moves perfectly suited to baby-wearing. Beyond the movement, the class fosters connections and community, providing a space to meet other parents, share stories, and seek advice.
This 50-minute class is designed for parents with babies aged 1-2 yrs, focusing on flexibility and strength through physical interaction; lifting, reaching, and moving with your baby. Without the use of carriers, most exercises take place on a mat with plenty of floor work. Each session incorporates dance moves that emphasize stretching and strengthening. The class also features circle time, promoting babies' cognitive and social development, while fostering connections and community.
This 50-minute class is designed for parents with toddlers aged 2–4, focusing on cardio and flexibility through shared dance. Parents and children follow the same choreography—modified for their levels—building simple routines week by week. The group often moves together in circles or lines, encouraging interaction. Each class begins and ends with circle time, featuring songs, ribbons, balls, and other props for the kids, while giving parents a chance to connect and share. A yoga mat is recommended for warm-ups, which include floor work to prepare the body.
Boogie Babies has an exciting and energetic, 30-minute, dance-based fitness class for 2-5 year olds. The kids are having too much fun to realize they are actively improving their gross motor skills, balance, and coordination. With new elements and activities each visit, the kids will never get bored. Weekly classes are a perfect addition to your daycare or preschool physical education program. Suitable for large or small class sizes.

Deb has been passionate about dance and movement since the age of 4, and her dedication to the art form has only grown stronger over the years. Starting her journey as a dance teacher at just 14, Deb’s love for dance has led her to diverse and influential roles in the performing arts community. She was a cast member and choreographer for the highly acclaimed Unsung Heroes troupe, contributing to 8 productions, and she also brought her talents to the Chicken Coop Theatre Company, both as a cast member and choreographer. Deb served as the Director of the Chicken Coop Kids division for 5 years, shaping the next generation of performers.
Alongside her work in the arts, Deb holds degrees in Kinesiology (2001) and Occupational Therapy (2005), combining her knowledge of movement with a deep understanding of the body’s mechanics. Her passion for fitness and health is reflected in every aspect of her career and personal life. Deb’s commitment to wellness led her to volunteer in a lactation clinic during her undergraduate years, and teach mom and baby dance classes during her two maternity leave years, helping new mothers navigate their journeys with confidence and support.
A proud mother of two children, aged 15 and 18, Deborah continues to inspire others with her energy, expertise, and unwavering passion for dance, fitness, and well-being.
